Everything You Need to Know

We’ve compiled the most common questions from our community of athletes and wellness professionals to help you get the most out of your Beyond Cold experience.

Beyond Cold chillers are proudly engineered and assembled in Tennessee, USA. We focus on building reliable, high-performance cold therapy systems using quality components and hands-on craftsmanship, allowing us to provide responsive domestic support and maintain strict quality control throughout the production process.

We recommend maintaining water temperatures between 45–55°F for optimal recovery and everyday cold therapy use. However, Beyond Cold chillers are capable of cooling water down to approximately 37°F.

No dedicated water line is required for installation. Beyond Cold systems are designed for simple setup and can typically be filled using a standard garden hose or by manually filling the tub with water.

The Journey and Pursuit models use a basket filter that should typically be cleaned weekly, or more frequently with heavier use. The Summit model uses a commercial-grade filter that can generally be replaced once or twice per month depending on usage, while weekly rinsing can help extend filter life.

Heavy use is typically considered around 3–5 plunges per day. To help maintain water quality and proper flow rate, we also recommend rinsing off oils, dirt, and debris before entering the tub.

Yes, the Journey model is suitable for outdoor use. If the unit is used as a permanent setup, the inflatable tub will naturally lose some air pressure over time, so periodically topping off the air to maintain a firm shape is recommended. Pressure loss can become more noticeable in colder ambient temperatures.

All Beyond Cold chillers and plunge tub packages include a one-year limited warranty covering manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use, lack of maintenance, freezing conditions, misuse, modifications, power surges, or other consumer-caused damage.

To help maintain warranty coverage and long-term performance, filters should be cleaned regularly and the chiller should be brought indoors or winterized when ambient temperatures approach 40°F or below.

Shipping times depend on product availability and your distance from our facility in Knoxville, Tennessee. Transit time within the United States is typically around 2–5 business days once shipped. If a product is not currently in stock, manufacturing lead times can range from approximately 2–4 weeks depending on the model and demand.

Beyond Cold chillers are designed to pair specifically with our insulated cold therapy tubs for optimal efficiency and performance. We do not recommend using our chillers with a standard bathroom bathtub, as most household tubs are not insulated and may develop condensation buildup underneath the tub.

Some third-party cold therapy tubs may be compatible if they can accept quick-connect hose fittings, though customers would need to source and install those fittings separately. Tub size and insulation also play a major role in cooling efficiency, which is why our tubs are specifically sized and designed to match the performance capabilities of our chillers.

Beyond Cold chillers are designed to run on a standard 120V household outlet. After startup, the chillers typically draw around 3.9 amps during normal operation. On a standard 15-amp household circuit, two units can generally operate comfortably with some additional capacity remaining. Most homes use 15–20 amp circuits, making installation straightforward in most residential settings.
